I have experience of working with young people and adults, who have suffered from a range of mental health difficulties. I am currently working in the NHS, where I specialise in providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for adults with severe and complex needs. I have a special interest in researching how masculinity can contribute to the development of mental health difficulties, which has resulted in published research in this area. At the heart of my approach is developing a trusting and supportive relationship. I have a warm, non-judgemental, and down to earth style. I use a range of therapeutic models that have been proven to work for many people, to provide a personalised approach. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT).
