Dr Isabel Battye CPsychol DClinPsy BSc (Hons) I am a Clinical Psychologist.  I have worked in the NHS since 2005, completed my Doctoral training in Clinical Psychology in 2009.   I take a whole systems approach and understanding the difficulties being presented in the context that a person (child, young person or adult) is in for example their family, their school, their work, their social circle.  I aim to work with my client(s) to get to a shared formulation (understanding or story of the problem), even when working with someone on their own, we would be thinking about their wider context as well. I like to follow my clients (children, teens, adults) interests to make their journeys more colourful in therapy and using imagery and stories to help understand, make sense of things and make a new story of compassion and emotional wellbeing.   I have had training in and have experience of delivering: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Narrative Therapy Brief Solution Focussed Therapy Compassion Focussed Therapy Systemic Therapy Parenting Interventions (Including Incredible Years and the Parent Child Game) Tree of Life   I have worked with children, young people and adults in a range of settings who have had a range of difficulties including:  Anxiety; Panic Attacks; Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD); Worries; School refusal; Depression; Low Mood; Low Self Esteem; Attachment-based difficulties (relationship difficulties across the lifespan); Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder; Self-harm and Suicidal Ideation and Having strange experiences (e.g. hearing voices).   I have over the last 6 years especially worked with caregivers of children and adolescents delivering groups for parents or foster carers and more bespoke interventions with parents and children together.   Qualifications Post-graduate Certificate of Supervision – Kings College London as part of the Parent Training CYP-IAPT programme, 2015 DClinPsy - Doctorate in Clinical Psychology -  Salomons, Canterbury Christchurch University, 2009 BSc (Hons) Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Royal Holloway University of London, 2002
